Doug Burt from Doug Burt Tackleworld said the largest fish in each species category would be the crowned a winner and take home a $500 Tackleworld gift pack. ‘We have a great range of prizes up for grabs and with so many categories to enter everyone has a chance to be a winner- they just have to be at the prize draw on Sunday the 3rd to redeem their prize,’ Doug said. The competition will run in the lead up to the Gold Coast Marine Expo from the 26th of October to the 2nd of November with the major prize draw at the Expo on the 3rd of November. The prize draw will end with a spectacular last man standing show-down which will see 10 entries pulled out at random with one lucky angler walking away with the major prize a Quintrex 300 Punt boat and motor package. Quintrex Director of Sales and Marketing Damien Duncan said the competition was a great opportunity for families to get together and get into fishing. ‘The competition is really easy to enter so if you’re out fishing from the 26th of October to the 2nd of November take a photo with your catch on your brag mat with the code word from the website and upload it- it’s as simple as that, anyone can enter,’ Damien said. The Gold Coast International Marine Expo will take place at the Gold Coast Marine Precinct, Waterway Drive, Coomera from the 1st – 3rd of November, 9am-5pm daily. The Gold Coast Marine Expo is a free admission, family friendly event with a large range of exhibitors including fishing boats, jetskis, kayaks and much more plus a great range of local food stalls.
